As will all health and safety programmes, they are usually only as good as the health surveillance that underpins them. For the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 health surveillance mainly takes the form of lung function testing (spirometry) and skin condition monitoring.
This training session goes in some detail into both areas of testing as well as covering principles of screening and other factors that should be included in a screening programme.
