Health and Safety: Implications for Company Directors
There are currently a number of company directors sat in prison for health and safety breaches at their company. In most of these cases, the Director in question was nowhere near at the time and certainly didn't realise that they were personally culpable for the actions of others! Perhaps if they had, they would still be sat behind a desk and not behind bars!
Clearly this only happens in severe cases but then there's the loss of production costs when the HSE decide to shut you down for 3 days, or the legal costs of litigation, not to mention the potentially massive insurance savings that can be made through good health and safety.
In our experience, there are many company directors out there who are not fully clear as to their direct and implied responsibilities and so we would like to help with this FREE half day seminar, which sets out without messing about, where you stand and what the risks are. We're also going to give you plenty of pointers as to how you can turn the whole thing around and make safety work for you as a positive business attribute and a value-generating activity.
Aims and Objectives
This half day seminar aims to cover all the fundamentals of director's responsibilities and the consequences when things go wrong.
